PsyLar Methods & Intended Use
How PsyLar builds free self-insight tests, what anonymous aggregates are used for, and how to interpret results responsibly.
Original content
PsyLar assessments use original items written by our team based on publicly available psychological literature. We do not copy proprietary questions, scoring keys, or interpretive texts from manuals or books.
What PsyLar publishes today
- 15 public self-insight tests across personality, relationships, work, and AI-tool habits.
- Topic hubs, explainers, and practical guides linked from each test page.
- Anonymous aggregate starts/completions when the stats API is configured (no raw answers stored).
Development approach
- Concept derivation from open literature and research summaries.
- Item drafting with plain-language wording and usability checks.
- Pilot feedback and iterative revision for clarity and bias reduction.
- Version tags on item banks and scoring logic for traceability.
Intended use
Assessments are for informational and self-exploration purposes only. They are not clinical or diagnostic tools, and should not be used for medical, employment, legal, or safety-critical decisions.
Reliability and validation stance
We improve internal consistency and clarity through ongoing item reviews and feedback. PsyLar does not claim equivalence with any proprietary instrument. Treat results as structured self-reports to compare with lived experience.
